Scanning Files To Be Used In A Court Of Law
Lotus Cars is a British manufacture of sports and racing cars with their headquarters located in Hethel, Norfolk. Founded in 1952, the word Lotus has always meant lightweight, fast, fun and British.
Lotus is an iconic British brand and has a long history in motorsport in both Formula 1, Indy Cars and Le Mans series cars. It’s prestige probably means you will never see in parking lots of used cars in des plaines or anywhere close to that part of the world. Private importations are available but can be quite costly.
ORS Group’s document scanning services are used by organisations throughout the UK. Every organisation has a different requirement and a different motivation to scan their documents. For Lotus Cars, an archive of documents were required in a court of law – but slightly unusually the court was only accepting documents in a digital format. Paper documents had been deemed unacceptable and the time frames to get the documents scanned were tight.
A fast and specific turnaround was agreed and strict scanning criteria set – there could be no room for delays or errors. After only two weeks the documents had been scanned, indexed and securely stored on an encrypted and password protected USB memory stick. Documents and secure data were handed back to Lotus within the agreed time frame.
Often, once documents have been scanned they are used time and time again by staff across different departments. In this case, they were used for a relatively short period of time and its quite an unusual situation.
